Flynn’s Makes Donations For Home Runs Hit

Each year, we hear of the amazing contributions set forth by our local business owners. We believe that kindness and generosity can inspire, and instill a sense of pride within our communities.

Most recently, Flynn’s Tire, a long standing member of our organization, has committed to a donation of $12.50 for each home run hit during the Pittsburgh Pirates 2016 season. Throughout the season, a total of 153 home runs were hit.

Their initiative resulted in a total contribution of $1,912.50, made out to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.

“KDKA-FM, the FAN, broadcasted the number of home runs and the amount donated during each post game report. The tire dealer has been donating in conjunction with the Pirates’ home runs for the past four years and has donated more than $6,500.”

We would like to recognize Flynn’s Tire for their amazing generosity, and hope that others continue to follow their lead in supporting our local organizations that help so many people each year.
